The Domain case is the most recent example of how people who spread false information about the political decision in 2020 have realized there is no evidence to support it. The now-defunct House panel that looked into the attack on the Legislative Hall on January 6, 2021 found that many of Trump’s top advisers repeatedly warned him that the claims he was making about extortion were false, but the president kept making the claims.
According to documents filed in Domain’s court, Murdoch requested that Dobbs be fired in September 2020, weeks before the political decision, because he was “a fanatic.” According to a passage in the statement, Murdoch also stated that he thought it was “downright horrendous” for former New York City Chairman Rudy Giuliani to advise Trump on the grounds that Giuliani’s “judgment was terrible” and that he was “a super sectarian.”
